Gift Cards at Mumu's Cafe: How They Work

You can buy a Mumu's Cafe eGift card online through our secure Square gift card page, and use it to pay for an online order by entering the card number at checkout — no account required. If the card doesn't cover the whole order, it pays what it can and you cover the rest with a card or wallet.

Where to buy a gift card

Look for the "Gift Cards" link in the header and footer of our site. It takes you to our eGift card page hosted by Square, where the purchase and payment happen on Square's own site. That's the same trusted system we use for our payments, so your card details never pass through us separately.

How to use a gift card on an online order

At checkout there's a "Have a gift card?" box. Type in the gift card number, tap Apply, and we check the card and show its balance. You don't need to be signed in, so you can use a gift card on your very first order. If the card covers the whole order, you don't need to enter any other payment method. If it covers only part, the page tells you the amount it covers and the amount left to pay on your card.

Saving a card to your account to check the balance

If you have a My Mumu account, open the Gift Cards tab and add the card number to see its available balance. Your saved cards then show up at checkout, and you can pick one with a tap. After you pay with a gift card, it's also linked to your account automatically, so you won't need to dig out the number next time. You can remove a saved card from your account at any time; that only removes it from your list and doesn't change the card's balance.

Cards that are used up, inactive, or lost track of

Checkout only accepts active cards with money left on them. If a card has no balance, or isn't active, you'll see a message saying so instead of a charge going through. If you delete your account, a card you've added keeps its balance and can still be used at the counter with its card number, so hold on to the number.
