A Guide to Mumu's Pastry Case

Our pastry case does double duty: half classic café bakery, half Turkish sweets table, and all of it made in-house.

On the classic side, you'll find flaky croissants (plain and stuffed), muffins made from scratch, and cheesecakes we bake ourselves rather than order pre-made. On the Turkish side, we keep börek (savory phyllo pastry, usually filled with cheese or spinach), baklava, and şekerpare — a semolina cookie soaked in syrup — in regular rotation.

Nothing in the case is shipped in frozen or pre-made off-site. If it's behind that glass, someone here made it that morning or the night before. It's more work than buying wholesale, but it's the same reason people come back for the same croissant every week — it's never quite the same as a mass-produced one, and that's the point.
